Elorra

While praying this morning and thanking God for His ongoing patience with me, I also praised Him for His Holiness. I was looking out to our backyard and marveling at the beauty. I ate an apple yesterday that had me speechless. How does He make them so good? But this morning, I realized why God is patient with me. I am always losing my patience with my children. They are only 2 and 4 years old, but God is patient with this very stubborn and confident 36 year old. How does He do it? I was thanking Him for being patient with me in spite of being so Holy when He whispered to me that He is patient because He is Holy not in spite of it. You see, I had it all wrong. And I was confused. His patience is part of His holiness. No one else is this patient. No one else has fresh mercy on her plate to hand out to everyone each day. No one else in this world could forgive and forget being wronged so badly and so often. So thank Him with me for His Holy patience. He is so awesome. Amen.
