Ugh!

I have shingles. I saw the doctor yesterday and he was very nice. He is a believer and goes to my church so he was able to be very candid with me. He told me to reduce the stress in my life and try to let God fill me up. He encouraged me greatly. I know I need to make changes in my life, not only for me, but for my family too. I don't mean to be stessed, but I am very particular and I can be idealistic. Both of these qualities are bumping up to my legalism and that is what ruins me. Pray for me. I need solice. I want to see all that God has done and is doing. I want to praise Him for I am 'fearfully and wonderfully made.' Amen

More baby pics

All right. Here are some pics. Of course the one of me and Brooklyn is blurry! Ugh. Katie could not quit looking at the baby. Too cute.

It's A Girl!!!

I am so excited that I got to see this precious baby just mintes after she was born. I am an aunt again and it feels good. This baby weighed 7 pounds and 1 ounce. She was 19.5 inches long and she was alert and sweet. Big sister held her, kissed her and smiled like crazy. It was a wonderful day. Congratulations Sarah and Danny! Your new baby girl is gorgeous. I am so glad I got to meet her and, Sarah, you did a fabulous job with the delivery. What a blessing.

I promise to load more pics later, but for now, this is

Kemper's 2nd Birthday!

Here is my little man on Memorial Day weekend when we were at the retreat and he was sick. He's just so sweet. Kemper is a great 2 year old. He eats and sleeps like he should. He has just enough spirit in him to make him a real boy, but he is soft around the edges. My favorite thing is that he loves his momma. He is learning some talking skills and he loves to sing. If I think back to 2 years ago today, I remember a difficult pregnancy that came out fine and was well worth it. Kemper is a delightful boy. Let's see. What does Kemper like? He likes opening and closing doors. He likes to climb and is good at it. Kemper likes to do things with Holly whether she likes it or not, and usually she does not. But they are good friends and I love it when we are riding along in the car and Holly finds a way to make Kemper laugh. Then he tries to mimic her so she will laugh too. As it ends up, we all laugh. I plan to take Kemper for a photo session today at picture people. Then we are off to East Texas where we will see my whole family. Cousin Danielle had a birthday yesterday. She is 7. We are having a party together which should provide some interesting blog posts later. I leave you with this reminder: Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so he gives His beloved sheep. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. Psalm 127
